  1. When I heard Mary J. Blige's "In the Morning," from her latest album, Stronger with Each Tear, one of the first things I was struck by - I mean literally not 4 bars in - was the horn arrangement. It couldn't have been much simpler from a technical standpoint, nor contained more feeling. I had to check the album's liner notes to find out who arranged the horns! Lo and behold: Jerry Hey. The dude is still the truth.
